Dinosaur State Park Day is held every August to celebrate the discovery of the tracks in 1966
Our celebration this year was Saturday, August 18, 2018
In 2018, Dinosaur State Park celebrated the 52nd anniversary of the discovery of the tracks with a party featuring a wide range of free activities for visitors of all ages. Nearly 2,700 visitors joined in the fun. Attendance for the day almost broke our records; it ranked among the top three celebrations since 1996. This year, there were many games, crafts, educational programs and prizes for the visitors. Children, parents and grandchildren were encouraged to experiment with arts and crafts, listen to lively music, watch live animal shows, and visit the indoor and outdoor features of the park.
All activities were free, except for the Mining Sluice, which had a materials' fee. Additional programs and films were held in the Exhibit Center which had no admission charge for this special day.
