Dinosaur State Park Day is held every August to celebrate the discovery of the tracks in 1966
Our celebration this year was Saturday, August 19, 2017
In 2017, Dinosaur State Park celebrated the 51st anniversary of the discovery of the tracks with a party featuring a wide range of free activities for visitors of all ages. More than 1,600 visitors joined in the fun. The activities brought joy to those who came for the games, crafts, educational programs and prizes. Children, parents and grandchildren were encouraged to experiment with arts and crafts, listen to lively music, watch live animal shows, and visit the indoor and outdoor features of the park. Dilly and Smokey Bear visited with the children and adults.
All activities were free, except for the Mining Sluice, which had a materials' fee. Additional programs and films were held in the Exhibit Center which had no admission charge for this special day.
