2008 Summer Employment at Dinosaur State Park

These positions are funded by the state of Connecticut, Department of Environmental Protection

Seasonal Maintainer -

Duties include cleaning the museum, gardening, trail maintenance, lawn care and working in the track casting area.  Three positions are available, 2 for 40 hours a week, and one for 32 hours a week.  This is a great position for someone who enjoys the outdoors.   We are looking for people to start in late April or early May.  Applicants must be available until August 18, 2008.  You must be at least 18 to apply.  Pay rate $8.50-$10 per hour. There is the possibility of employment through mid-October for one individual.

Seasonal Naturalist -

Duties include working the front desk, answering the phone, giving guided nature walks and educational programs for family groups.  These positions are part-time (21-28 hours per week). Applicants should have some educational background in the sciences of geology, paleontology, biology and related subjects. Experience working with the public, especially teaching in a formal or informal setting, is also desired. We are looking for individuals to start in late April to mid-May. Applicants must be available until August 18, 2008.  You must be at least 18 to apply.  Pay rate  $8.50-$10 per hour.
