Living Dragons - Wednesday, December 30, 1 p.m.

Riverside Reptiles will present a program featuring live lizards.This 45 minute program is recommended for ages 5 and up. Tickets will be available free with admission beginning at 9 a.m. on the day of the show. Space is limited to 100 visitors. If you have any questions, call the park at (860) 529-5816.

Winter Vacation Week - Dec. 26-27, Dec. 29 - 31, and January 2 - 3

Programs featured during school vacation week will include films, track talks, animal programs and activities in the craft area.

The Next Dinosaur Park Day Celebration - Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, 2016, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mark your calendar for the special 50th anniversary celebration of the discovery of tracks. Visitors will be treated to music, games, crafts, and live animal presentations. All outdoor activities will be free during the event which is made possible by funding from the Friends of Dinosaur Park and Arboretum and donations from our vendors and area businesses.

Ongoing Programs

The Exhibit Center has a new Discovery Room featuring hands-on activities and exciting new exhibits for children and adults.

View a Film Films are shown beginning at 10 a.m. Last showing begins at 3:30 p.m.  Films are scheduled only on weekends. During the week, visitors may request a film.

Meet the park’s animals: Programs with our live animals will be conducted only on weekends.

Track Talks: A staff member will answer questions about the tracks and discuss what Connecticut was like in the early Jurassic period. Call the park for the schedule.

Discovery Room: Spend time in our newly renovated Discovery Room. There are hands-on activities for children and adults, live animals, and a special corner for young visitors.The Discovery Room features a Connecticut Rock and Mineral display, an interactive geologic map, dozens of pull and learn drawers containing hundreds of fossil, rock and mineral specimens, a skull display, a bird sound station and more.
